My Story
Growing Up
Before I tell you what I’m like as a person now, what I’m currently doing, and what my goals are, I gotta give you a little background about myself.
Dad was in the Air Force, got stationed in South Korea where he met my mom. They liked each other. Like a lot. And then in 1992, a blessing was bestowed upon the world. Double rainbows appeared, people randomly cried tears of joy sporadically, people put their shopping carts where they actually belonged instead of parking it in a random spot; my day of birth truly inspired the world.
ANYWAYS, I was born in the U.S. But with my dad’s position in the military, we moved to Italy for a year. Do I remember that sweet sweet golden year of my life? Nope. Then we moved to South Korea, where we stayed until I turned 11. Moved to Colorado, stayed there until I graduated high school. Went to college in Hawaii, got my Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry. Moved to Arizona, got prepared for grad school, then moved back to Colorado to get a Doctorate in Pharmacy. Moved back to Arizona, and I’m currently working as a pharmacist by day. But by night…I’m still a pharmacist. Just a sleepy, off-duty pharmacist.
What Am I Like Now
I’M JUST PEACHY KEEN!
As you can see, I developed a sense of humor that goes hand-in-hand with my sarcasm. I’m a pretty goofy and laid-back person. I work hard at my job, and I actually work for a really great company. Heck it’s hard to get into my current company as a pharmacist. After having kind of settled into my own place and creating a routine, I’m finally able to pursue my passion for cooking and baking on a more serious level.
Funny enough, I’ve always cooked and baked for friends and family. I’ve had professors try my cooking, look at me and go, “…why are you even here?” Wasn’t offended, thought it was hilarious and always took it as a compliment. When I pitched the idea of finally pursuing my hobby and potential income earner as a food blogger, I thought I would face a lot of opposition and some sort of discouragement. It’s been quite the opposite really. Things have been coming together quite nicely, and I’m taking that as a sign that this is something I should be pursuing pretty seriously.
The Way Foward
I have so many ideas for this blog, for my channel, for my different social medias that I have, I’m just really pumped to share my cooking, my culture, and myself with the rest of the world!
Sharing recipes through cooking videos and instructions is going to be my main focus for now. I want to share the dishes that I have developed from all the various environments I’ve lived in, with sometimes my Korean side incorporated. You’re going to see A LOT of Korean fusion dishes coming out of here. I’ll also be sharing recipes I found where I thought they sounded great, turned out amazing, and now I gotta share them with others. I’ll food blog outside the kitchen when I’m trying out food at other places.
Heck if I get big enough, I would love to cook for and with other well-known foodie influencers.
